How Telehealth MAT Is Billed to Your Insurance

For online addiction care, separate the price of clinician visits from the price of medication. An insurance explanation of benefits and a bill serve different purposes; if the amounts do not match what you expected, ask the insurer and care team to explain the specific claim.
Know the expected visit cost
Grata checks coverage before the first appointment. Care is $0 with accepted Medicaid. Commercial copays depend on your plan and are usually less than $20 per session. Self-pay prescribing care costs $199/month and includes weekly clinician visits when needed, care coordination, testing, and seven-day support. Therapy and medication are separate.
Participation depends on the product and state

Most appointments are available the same day with the clinician who will treat you. Medication can be prescribed at that visit when clinically appropriate.
See the commercial insurance list for the exact products currently supplied by Grata. An insurer’s commercial and Medicaid plans do not share automatic participation.
The pharmacy charge
The pharmacy dispenses and bills for medication. Ask about the prescribed formulation, quantity, network status, and your actual cost. Covered shipping through Grata’s delivery option does not mean every medication has a $0 price.
Medication delivery takes 1–2 business days from prescribing. Local pickup is available when you need medication sooner, subject to pharmacy availability.
If a charge looks wrong
Compare the service date, clinician or practice, service description, and insurance details. Contact the care team if an insurance card changed, a payment is missing, or the billed service looks unfamiliar. For a denied claim, get the insurer’s explanation and instructions before assuming you need to pay a different amount.
Use the secure patient portal for care details. Contact Grata for help with billing or access. You can also review what to expect at the first appointment and online Suboxone treatment.
